Music and Dance celebrating the conquest of Ibiza in 1235.
After several unsuccessful attempts to wrest control of Medina Yebisah (now Ibiza) from Muslim influence, Ibiza and Formentera were finally conquered by Catalan Christians in the year 1235.
On 8th August, Ibiza fell to combined Catalan-Aragonese forces under the command of Guillem de Montgrí. joining the islands to the Crown of Aragon.
The celebration is taking place in the Parc de Reina Sofia.
