Oh, the month of November when you really start to notice that the summer season has ended, which is all the more reason to visit a less crowded island. There's always something cool to do on Ibiza and now is the time of year when it is particularly beautiful. Take a look at our selection of some of the month's best things to do.
In vino, Ibiza
A wine tour on Ibiza? Yes, you read correctly. The oldest bodega on Ibiza, Sa Cova, up in the north in San Mateo is doing guided tours of its vineyards and facilities until mid December, where you can learn how they make their delicious wines. After your tour, you'll be treated to a tasting session of four different wines accompanied by tapas. To take part, you'll need to register by sending an email via their website ahead of your visit or calling directly. Now until 18 December 2016 for €18 per person. It's great for groups, couples and well, just wine lovers.
The club that never closes
Pacha's winter line-up has a few shining stars that you'll want to head over for in the coming month. Two standout events you won't want to miss include Sneaks Birthday Beats, this Saturday 5 November, with DJ Sneak and Hector Moralez the stars of this annual event. And then the following week, on 11 November, make a beeline for Clive Henry, who's the headliner at People Like Us, now back for the winter season. Pacha has lots more November dates, so check them out.
Yummy food without the price tag
When autumn hits Ibiza, it's time for the restaurant events to begin. Right now you can get special three-course menus and tapas deals featuring local products interpreted into great dishes at great prices. Ibiza Sabor runs until the end of the month in over 40 restaurants island-wide. Then, in San Antonio, the 8th edition of Restaurat is back, with 20 local restaurants offering starters, mains, desserts and even cocktails featuring this year's star ingredient, the pumpkin. Yummy food without the price tag? Yes please!
Groove on up
Just below the walls of the medieval citadel in Ibiza Town is Teatro Pereyra, a New Orleans style haunt with nice touches of racy red velvet. For live music lovers, this island institution is hard to beat and has been going strong since 1998. The action really gets going when midnight hits and the performances start. Now, every Monday to Saturday you can catch island songbird Muriel Fowler & The Groove Machine, who together, each evening set the place on fire - go and help them out. Photo: Alex Soto
Fiesta, it's fiesta time
There's a month of island festivities coming up, this time in Santa Gertrudis. On the main day on 16 November 2016, you can go and see some free live music starting from 20.30 h in the festival tent with Morning Drivers. This will be closely followed by a special performance from Catalan folk rock outfit, Projecte Mut, celebrating its 10 year success from 22 h. This is one of the most eagerly awaited dates in the entire Santa Gertrudis fiesta calendar, so don't miss out.
Mind the gap
Underground favourite, Unusual Suspects, will have its winter opening party on Thursday 17 November. It'll be headlined by DC-10 regular, Davide Squillace, who's joined by the likes of Martin Buttrich, Re:You and Haiku 575, so expect plenty of aural pleasure to fill your ears. This party proved so popular in 2015 that this season it scored its first summer residency at Sankeys, and over winter, it'll be continuing in the same vein. One helluva party which you don't want to miss out on.
