Known as BIBO PARK, Ibiza's Biotech Botanical Garden enables visitors to discover the magnificent diversity of the islands' natural landscapes and native species while learning about the latest biotechnological innovations in nature conservation.

A multifaceted space that's home to 30,000 endemic plants, it will captivate visitors and establish a genuine connection with local flora and fauna that will provide a lifelong memory.

BIBO PARK goes far beyond the typical experience of a botanical garden, however. Its cutting-edge biotechnology - designed to help combat global warming - includes a CO2-capturing Microalgae Photobioreactor used as a natural and ecological fertiliser, an atmospheric water generator, and biological batteries.

Further features of this ground-breaking concept include a "vegetable piano" (the world's first), and Ibiza's first planetarium - Orion 4.0 - where you can learn about the universe through stargazing sessions, astronomy workshops, and talks.

There is a new area dedicated to aromatic, culinary and medicinal plants, where you can also see a precious collection of bonsai from the Pitiusas Islands.

The park also delves into the past of local habitats with the inclusion of already extinct plants, carefully preserved. Then there's a miniature salt flat where you can learn about the salt production that has been a staple of the local economy for centuries, as well as little-known facts regarding ancient Ibizan beehives and such iconic species as the adorable and now threatened Pitiusan lizard.

Fun must-try activities range from the H2O machine that allows you to sip water straight from the sky, to seed planting, birdwatching, yoga and even trying out the unique “plant piano”. One of the highlights of the summer is the Astro Magic Lights event.

Whether alone, with others on a guided tour, or via the park's virtual tour, BIBO PARK is a must-visit on Ibiza for individuals, families or groups keen to immerse themselves in its rich ecology.
