Getting away from it all at Cala Molí

Peaceful Ibiza paradise

Where and what?

Cala Molí is a secluded and tranquil beach in the western part of Ibiza with spectacular views, which is reached from either San José or San Antonio. Its relative quiet makes it one of those beaches where you'll get to really appreciate the island's fine sandy places.

Why go?

This pretty pebbly beach is just 30-metres wide and the lack of sunbeds and parasols means you'll be better off finding space to park your towel. It's great for getting away from it all to come here, take a deep sigh and then contemplate the beauty of this pretty pine-clad cove. As it's a beach that's not as well known, you'll find that even in July and August, it won't be overrun by other tourists. Mainly you'll find families here happily enjoying the quiet.

Things to do

There are quite a few rocks on the seabed here, though don't be alarmed as there is a little walkway to get into the sea and once there, you'll find that those stones make it great for snorkelling. If you want supreme comfort, you could go to the beach club and restaurant, IT Cala Molí, which has its own pool and if you simply must have them, some sunbeds. It makes a great place for a little interlude of luxury. There's also an islet in front of the beach called S'Espartar, which you can swim over to and climb onto. Peaceful here, yes. Boring, no.

How to get there

Accessible only really by car. Just follow the signs towards Cala Tarida from either San José or San Antonio and continue till you see the signs for Cala Molí. You'll find parking on the roadside nearer to the beach.
