More artists announced for Ibiza Rocks 2015

Legends both old and new descend on the Rocks stage again. Hats off to the IR team.

Adding to the already announced artists for Ibiza Rocks' 2015 programme, such as Clean Bandit, Fatboy Slim and closing headliners The Courteeners, we now have a series of artists that truly spans the years, staying true to Ibiza Rocks form in putting together a line-up that appeals to all ages and musical backgrounds.

Perhaps the biggest announcement of Rocks season will be this, the grand return of the legendary New Romantic pop band Spandau Ballet (to those unaware this is the band Gary Kemp was in before his TV career kicked off). Coming together in the 70s, they quickly garnered love in the scene and during the 80s they held strong as one of the 'it' bands of the decade. Over the years they amassed an impressive number of hit singles and records sold, and now more than 30 years since they played at Ibiza's famous Ku club in 1981 (now Privilege) they will return to headline on Wednesday 19th August.

On to more recent stars though, we have one of the heights of the 2014 season - Rudimental - playing live. The Black Butter Records reps will have a solid presence on the island, starting at this years IMS so make sure you catch one of the hottest live acts around at the moment. 29th July - remember the date.

The next act hails from Llandudno in Wales, home of The Great Orme and a great toboggan run - Catfish & The Bottlemen. Currently riding the crest of a tidal wave of success, winning the BBC Introducing Award, selling out tours and generally being adored the world over as the next big guitar band of the UK. Catch these guys on July 15th.

It's always the case, but paying attention to the support acts at the Rocks gigs is highly recommended. Only a few seasons ago London Grammer played support to Alunageorge and for those who didn't make it in time they missed one of the best performances of Ibiza Rocks history. So, with this in mind be sure to check out Shura, Slaves, Krept & Konan, Blonde, Karen Harding and Sam Sure. For sure.

"Back in 1981 Spandau were playing one off events at the hottest clubs across the world from New York to St Tropez to the Beat Route in London and The Ku Club had a reputation for being pretty outrageous, in fact the night before we played we went to the club and someone released a bull onto the dancefloor which ended up in the swimming pool. We took over some of our London friends, before us no British people went to these clubs and that was when the conversation between the two nightlife's began and Ibiza club culture was born. We're really looking forward to going back and playing Ibiza Rocks" - Gary Kemp, Spandau Ballet
