Set your inner love child free with big wigs and flares.

Time to swing that hippy shake as Flower Power comes to San José this Saturday 23 March as part of the town's annual fiestas.

This year, to time with the 50th anniversary of the world-famous Woodstock festival, group Willy the Poor Boys are putting on a special tribute to ‘60s US rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Starting at 22:00 in the marquee in San José's main square, expect an array of local acts with groups including Discover, Groovy Brothers, Lucy Sky & Diamonds, Jet Lag and the much loved The Frigolos.

Following them will be DJs Javi Box and Pharma who are hitting the decks to ensure that everyone gets to wave their arms in the air, let their flared trousers flap and wigs spin round.

In an event where the whole town turns up, expect an infectious and fun atmosphere as San José bursts into life with a cool and groovy atmosphere to keep the smile on everyone's faces.

If you've got kids, then take them to their own special fiesta, Mini Flower a daytime children's party in the same venue from 11:30.

Your little ones even get their own performance in the shape of the band Reggae Per Xics as well lots of fun surprises throughout.

One of the special highlights of this party is the light show with the church adorned with psychedelic colours and patterns that will rock your world.

This stand-out event is part of a whole programme of fiesta activities running all the way to 7 April with music concerts at Can Jeroni cultural festival on 24 and 31 March and classic car show also on that last date.
