Eden mixes things up with all night long back-to-back in room two

<article class="article wysiwyg "><p>Tonight at <a href="https://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/promoters/reboot-presents-eden"><… Ibiza</strong></a>, <a href="https://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/clubs/eden_i.htm"><strong>Eden</s…; mixes things up with <strong>an all night long back-to-back in room two</strong>.</p><p>Veteran selectors and turntablists <strong>Andy Smith</strong> (above, left) and <strong>DJ Smoove</strong> (above, right) join forces on <strong>Friday 6 June</strong>, for a night of pure musical freedom.</p><p>Andy shot to fame in the '90s, touring with fellow Bristolians Portishead, becoming their official warm-up DJ. An honorary member of the band, to this day, he's the only person trusted to represent Portishead playing club sets.</p><p>His resume reads far longer than that alone, however. Andy is also the man behind <em>The Document</em>, a experimental 1998 mix released on FFRR that fused lots of different genres together into one seamless narrative.</p><p>Andy can turn his hand to pretty much any genre and has <strong>an uncanny ability to stitch together a story, that is not only aurally cohesive, but captivating</strong>.</p><p>That longevity and originally is matched by his back-to-back partner for the night, DJ Smoove.</p><p>With three decades of experience to his name, Smoove is a tour de force of music.</p><p>Not content with just spinning and making music, Smoove started cult record label <strong>Wack Records</strong> in 2006. As a remixer, his catalogue includes alternative takes on the works of Africa Bambaataa, Nina Simone, Lee Scratch Perry and Kraak &amp; Smaak amongst others.</p><p>We can only speculate as to what goodies these two maestros will throw up between them, but clubbers are sure to hear House, Trip-Hop, Rare Groove, Northern Soul and countless other influences.</p><p>If that wasn't enough, they will be <strong>playing exclusive on vinyl for the full four-hour duration</strong>.</p><p>This is just the first of some very <strong>leftfield programming for room two on Friday nights</strong>.</p><p>Later in the month, we can look forward to Next sets from La Roux and Jaguar Skills.
