The International Piano Contest 2019 from San Carlos has been taking place since 1987 and is very famous among locals and classical music lovers. It has always included great young pianists both national and international.
This year the contest will take place in September 2019 within the celebration of its 23rd edition.
All concerts will take place both in the Cultural Center of Sant Carlos or the Church of San Carlos.
The programme for this edition is the following:
-Tuesday 3 September 17:00: Opening ceremony. Presentation of the jury and contestants.
-Wednesday 4 September, 10 - 14:00 and 16 - 20:00: Sessions for junior participants (under 16).
-Thursday 5 September, 10 - 14:00 and 16 - 20:00: Sessions for pianists (under 30).
-Friday 6 September, 10 - 14:00 and 16 - 20:00: Sessions for pianists (under 30).
-Saturday 7 September, 10 - 14:00 and 16 - 20:00: Sessions for pianists (under 30)
-Sunday 8 September, 20:00: Final of the Contest. Closing ceremony, prizes and winners concert.
All the sessions of the contest and the closing ceremony are public and for free.
