Friday, 5 March, 20:00 h - Concert on Broadway
Cultural Centre of Jesús

CONCERT BY THE DUO DAO GROUP. MUSICAL DAYS CYCLE
Description:
The Duo Dao, formed by Carlos Vesperinas and Carlos Negro, emerges as
a natural consequence of previous chamber music projects that both
members have shared. Their common concerns and aesthetic visions have
given the choice of a wide repertoire, covering a variety of
composers and styles highly representative of the music composed by it
grouping throughout history. They have previously performed in the Musical Days Cycle and
also in other places like the Auditorium Theater of San Lorenzo of the Dump. In
this time they present a repertoire with works of own creation and of
composers referring to the history of music.

Saturday, 6 March, 20:00 h - Concert with Melologus Ad Très
Sala de Plens de l'Ajuntament in San Juan

The melologist was one theatrical genre of the eighteenth century, in which there was a balance
between the spoken word and music.

Based on this idea and with his specialization in the repertoire of this century, more specifically in the cultural movement called Sturm and Drang, Melologus Ad Très wants to combine music with historical research. Their concerts are a kind of sound documentary in order to
rediscover the history behind the compositions and the composers of the second half of the eighteenth century.

This work combines music from different cultures such as flamenco, Hindu music or electronic music styles.

Friday, 12 March, 20:00 h - Concert with the Duo Ekriktiko
Cultural Centre Can Ventosa in Ibiza Town

The Duo Ekriktiko became known with their first performance Les Discontinued - and this is the second part of the same idea. Works forgotten, ignored gifts, muted music - the history of art that build society has an unfair memory, and it is today's artists that have a responsibility of rescuing, revaluing and sharing the great hidden treasures of our past to change the present.

The performance Les Silenciades explores the theme of women composers who were silenced and forgotten despite their talent due to the prevailing masculinity. Some of the mainly
unknown works are unedited or newly edited, and therefore little scheduled in concert halls.

Sunday, 14 March, 20:00 h - Concert with Els Homes del Cor de Sant Josep
Cultural Centre Can Jeroni in San José

Since four years this group of eight singers, all members of the Choir of San José, performes monodic, medieval and Gregorian music.

They present De Musicis Initio, a repertoire of Spanish-Visigothic (Mozarabic) and Gregorian chants, which pay homage to the beginnings of tonal music.

Thursday, 18 March, 20:00 h - Concert by the chamber group Nouveaux Quartet
Sala de Plens de l'Ajuntament in San Juan

The Nouveaux Quartett is made up of active members in the field of classic music, both insular and national. The name comes from the famous quartets that Telemann published in Paris in 1738 for flute and string trio, and describes very well the characteristics of the group, aesthetic and musical.

Friday, 19 March, 20:00 h - Concert with Héctor Koa
Teatro España in Santa Eulalia

Héctor Koa proposes a particularly unique musical experience, which he calls Astral Journey. Surrounded by common instruments such as guitars, electric bass or percussion instruments, he creates an original fusion by combining them with other, not so usual instruments: about 30 ethnic flutes, Indian sitar, didgeridu or the magical sound of the handpan. He also adds some vocal elemens as well as ambient and spatial sounds of synthesizers. It is an amazing audiovisual show in which we find more than 50 instruments on stage, surrounding one single musician who creates a sound journey based on own compositions and spontaneous improvisations. This is possible through a system called Live Looping, in which the artist records instrument by instrument, all played live.

Saturday, 20 March, 20:00 h - Concert “Una nit d'aniversari” by the duo Bis@biS
Cultural Centre of Jesús

This time the duo Bis @ biS presents a very special concert titled “Una nit d'aniversari” ("A birthday night") which includes works by composers who during this year 2021 will celebrate their anniversary of birth or death. Among these composers are Tomaso Albinoni (350 years since his birth), Pauline Viardot (200 years since his birth), Camille Saint-Saëns (100 years since his death) and Astor Piazzolla (100 years since his birth), among others.

Thursday, 25 March, 20:00 h - Concert with Duo Dao
Cultural Centre Can Ventosa in Ibiza Town

The Duo Dao, formed by Carlos Vesperinas and Carlos Negro, emerges as a natural consequence of previous chamber music projects that both members have shared. Friday, 26 March, 20:00 h - Concert by the Miles Island Duo
Cultural Centre Cervantes in San Antonio

Miles Winter and David Romano formed their duo in 2010. The repertoire consists entirely of compositions by Miles, who creates an own style called beach-funk, a mixture of various styles (funk, pop, rock ...), but with the intimacy and warmth of an acoustic format. Their performance
offers sensitive, romantic and cozy moments, after which the dynamic slowly goes up to reach more lively moments, intense and fun.

Saturday, 27 March, 20:00 h - Bolero concert with Núria B.
Cultural Centre Can Jeroni in San José

An encounter a wide range of the best bolero music. A concert warm, close and intense ... in which poetry mixes with the typical bolero music, tangible and subtle. Performed by the Ibizan vocalist Núria B., accompanied by Walter Real's keyboard. We shall meet with a repertoire that, respecting the spirit of each song, will excite us.
