The sound of Disco Disco at Pikes Ibiza

All the best music from Ibiza’s very own disco paradise.

Disco definitely isn't dead. How do I know? I witnessed it alive and bouncing last Tuesday night at the notorious Pikes Hotel for Disco Disco's second instalment of its two-date Ibiza takeover.

Previously, I'm happy to admit I was not a huge disco fan. Now I've done a full 180-degree rotation. On Tuesday night my head was well and truly turned. Bravo, Disco Disco.

Having made its Ibiza debut earlier this summer, the British-born party closed its 2019 festivities with a special guest I couldn't possibly have missed.

Joining the likes of Griff, Siggy Smalls and Paolo Francesco in the hallowed Freddies booth was unannounced industry favourite, Skream. Following rumours that swept San Antonio, an exclusive disco performance was on the cards for Pikes.

Along with unshakeable charisma, Skream and fellow guest provided the best ode to the '70s, 80's and 90's movement, making for a nostalgic dance down memory lane. Pikes, the most appropriate venue for such scenes.

Here are our picks from the night.

Sheryl Lee Ralph | In The Evening

Entering Freddies boudoir, this funk-filled number set the bar high for the rest of the evening.

Hammer | Love Somebody

This one seems to be cropping up all around the island recently - and it's easy to see why. Give it a listen to feel some serious disco fever.

Alaia & Gallo feat. Kevin Haden | Who Is He? (The Reflex Who's Who Remix)

Belonging to Defected Records, this must-hear track and its vocals got the whole room dancing.

The Face vs. Mark Brown | Needin You (Dimitri From Paris Remix)

When all is said and done, it wouldn't have been a true disco party without this iconic four-to-floor beat.

Candi Staton | Young Hearts Run Free

A timeless classic that left the entire room singing.

Dan Hartman | Relight My Fire

Skream and Paolo Francesco ended the night and their epic b2b with this powerful 70's anthem, before Skream joined us all in the crowd for a boogie himself. Awesome.
