Biography
The New York and Moscow based DJ/Production partnership Monaque, made up of Alex Monakhov and Serge Que are quickly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with and one of the hotly tipped names to watch.
Monaque are a production focused DJ and live act that showcase their musical diversity which has seen their output cross genres from deep house to tech house and techno. Successfully crossing these musical boundaries with a consistent level of quality music has had a profound impact on their fan base with support coming thick and fast from everyone from the likes of Nic Fanculli and Christian Smith through to Laurent Garnier and Luciano.
2011 has been a massive year for Alex and Serge. Along with a residency at one of the hottest Russian clubs, Rise, Monaque played a rather successful tour along side label mates such as such as M.A.N.D.Y., Booka Shade, Siopis, Audiofly, and Catz 'n Dogz in support of their Get Physical Russia CD. The guys have released a great volume of tracks and remixes for artists like Luis Junior, Robert Babicz, and on such labels as Get Physical, Traum, Manual and others, and in 2012 they show no sign of slowing down, with more music due to land soon and an exciting mix compilation on the horizon. Out now is an EP on Manual Music, a single on Luis Juniors Mooseekaa Recodings, a remix of Cumiks and the guys are busily working on a new EP for Get Physical.
