Eden rocks opening party 2018

Terminal 4 blasts Eden into the summer with its new concept Tronic & Friends.

Hot off the plane, prominent London outfit, TERMINAL 4 checked into San Antonio's premier superclub. On a pilgrimage to transform the garden of Eden into a techno paradise, Terminal 4 presents Tronic & Friends, turning the super-club onto all things tech, dark, deep and acidic.

The party has been on the lips of many on the island after an extensive campaign, so hundreds flocked to Eden in anticipation to see if Terminal 4 could live up to the hype.

In the words of a spokesperson for the Terminal 4 team, the concept aims “to bring fresh ideas to San Antonio's competitive nightlife” Would the new concept be a success? We were there to find out...

I arrived at 1.30, west end revellers packed the queue in anticipation for a much heavier fix than is the norm in San An. Instantaneously, we were hit by a barrage of heavy, hard techno beats.

Eden's notorious Void sound system is perfect to put Eden's passengers through maximum G-force. The sub heavy bass sound system combined with an exemplary light rig had us up to speed in no time.

By 2:00, Christian Smith took over in the pilot's chair. The crowd were as happy as the tunes were hardcore. Contemporary hard techno collides with old-school acid sounds, a serious set that Paul Van Dyk or Paul Oakenfold would have been ecstatic with back in the day.

By the time 4:00 rolled around, more shapes were being busted out than a game of Tetris. Jay Luman dropped the track of the night, Enrico Sangiuliano's Symbiosis. In a moment it had energised the entire dance floor to altitudes not yet reached.

For me, the set of the night was undoubtedly Loco & Jam, a business class performance that had no turbulence or delays - just powerhouse floor filling bangers.

Terminal 4 definitely purchased the correct boarding pass to delve Eden into the underworld of electronic music. This crusade has the potential to diversify a crowd that is overdue a shake-up.

We can't wait to see if SanAntonio is prepared for this drastic diversification in music genre and dance-floor vibe.

Buckle up, it's going to be a fierce season at Eden.
