No, not mother board you geek. MOBO stands for Music Of Black Origin. However loose that term might be, Pacha were onto a winner when they booked Galaxy Radio’s Steve Sutherland (pictured below, with his son) for their urban-oriented Global Room on Monday nights.
The smooth-domed one has for the third time picked up the award for best UK Club Dj. However he, Gilles Peterson, (who appeared at Carl Cox’s closing party) and Pacha’s other resident r’n’b dude Trevor Nelson, were both beaten by the Eden and El Divino appearing Tim Westwood for the Best UK Radio Dj award.
Sutherland and Nelson go head to shiny head again for the Best Urban Dj Award at next week’s Pacha-hosted Dj Awards.
