Review
Perspective is everything in electronic music, so let's make it clear what you're getting here. This isn't chilled in the Cafe Del Mar sense of the word, instead the compilation's tagline of 'chilled club anthems' reveals a truly eclectic mix of dance floor fillers and subtle gems from both recent and past memory.
Equally as likely to work at the beach bar, as at the afterparty, Chilled House Session 2 includes more commercially successful artists and tracks on CD1, such as Deadmau5's remix of 'Tiny Dancer' and Swedish House Mafia hit 'Leave the World Behind', although there is still space for 2010's biggest electronic record, 'Coma Cat' by Tensnake.
CD2 takes a different twist with classic Zero 7 tracks alognside more underground vibes from the likes of Trentmoller and Joris Voorn. There is also some deeper than deep excellence in remixes by Henrik Schwarz and Motor City Drum Ensemble.
