Ibiza club rewind | Hï Ibiza

The best sets from years gone by.

Comparatively speaking, Hï Ibiza is a newcomer on Ibiza's decorated clubbing landscape. Not that you would know it. The island's newest club has wasted no time in making an impression.

Hï Ibiza might only have been open for three summers (2017, 2018 and 2019), but we couldn't possibly imagine Ibiza without her now.

The Night League (TNL), the team behind the venue, has its finger firmly on the pulse. The programme is always ahead of the curve, the production industry-leading and the delivery executed with military precision.

What is it about Hï Ibiza that captures the imagination so?

Perhaps it's the high-spec Theatre, reconfigured for each party? Maybe it's the weekly line-up, packed top to bottom with A-listers?

Or could it be, that TNL tore up the rule book and set about creating the club of the future with the next generation of clubbers as its target audience?

The reality is, it's all of those things and plenty more. As our Ibiza club rewind series finally docks in Playa d'en Bossa, we turn the spotlight to Hï Ibiza.

Black Coffee | 25 August 2018

South African Nkosinathi Maphumulo was the first of Hï Ibiza's residents to be unveiled in the run-up to the 2017 season.

After some critically acclaimed appearances at DC10 the previous summer and a growing profile, Black Coffee was certainly on the ascent. Even so, it was a signing that took many off guard.

With his blend of atmospheric house and stately guests, Black Coffee quickly turned himself into the island's Mr Saturday Night.

Watch our host command The Theatre above, with music coming from Eelke Kleijn, Art Department and London Grammar.

Armin van Buuren | 1 August 2018

Within trance circles, Armin van Buuren is considered a god. The Dutchman has been a firm favourite on Ibiza down the years, holding residency just about everywhere, including Amnesia, Privilege, Space and Ushuaïa.

Taking the reins for the full duration of the night, AVB provided a six-hour masterclass at the peak of summer in 2018.

Enjoy music from Arty, Ben Gold and Vini Vici, but most of all check-out the production capabilities of Hï Ibiza's high-tech main room and how the crowd reacts.

BODYWORKS | 2019

Few acts in electronic music have enjoyed the success of CamelPhat in recent years. Their career trajectory has been curving ever upwards since the release of 2017 summer anthem, Cola. In 2018, the duo was taken onboard as understudies to Eric Prydz.

By summer 2018, with a tonne of new accolades under their belt, CamelPhat had done enough to secure a headline residency of their own. They stepped into the newly vacant Tuesday night slot at Hï Ibiza without skipping a beat.

BODYWORKS was a monumental winner, right from the off. More shrewd movements from TNL.

If you happen to have slept on the CamelPhat phenomena, watch the video above. We're confident you'll be converted!

The future

Setting the example for planning, it might surprise you that Hï Ibiza has already confirmed its full 2021 programme.

What a line-up it is too! The Martinez Brothers, FISHER, Afterlife, David Guetta, Black Coffee and Glitterbox are the faces and brands taking care of business from Tuesday through to Sunday.

We can't wait to be back on Hï Ibiza's dance floor again soon!
