Summer Solstice Ceremony & Stargazing with Walking Ibiza

Gaze at the stars with Walking Ibiza.

sáb 20 jun, 2020
Desde: 21:30

Dónde: Ibiza Outdoors/Walking Ibiza, Portinatx, Ibiza

Today at Summer Solstice the sun reaches its highest northern position and we experience the longest day and the shortest night of the year. It's the astronomical beginning of summer. In the eastern nightsky we will be looking at the summertriangel, while in the west the springtriangel, the brilliant stars of virgin, lion and bearwatcher, is slowly disappearing.

Come with us to join an amazing evening walk to a beautiful spot where we will have a perfect view of the night sky. Toby, founder of Walking Ibiza, will lead you to a great spot where we can lie on our back to look straight up and have a 360 degrees view. During the walk we will have adjust our eyes to the dark so we can see everything clearly when our ‘star lady' Etienne will be explaining.

Please bring a torch (for the way back) and something to lie on, so you get a good view of the stars.

Feel free to bring some snacks and a drink to enjoy while stargazing.

DATE & TIME: Saturday 20th June – 21.30h

MEETING POINT: Cala Xarraca beach. From here we will drive for 5 minutes to the starting point of the walk.
