Ibiza Rocks up to Bar M for another summer of brilliant live music

Renowned as the clubbing capital of the world, is Ibiza now entering a new era of riff-tinged melodies and up-front indie anthems ?

However, Ibiza Rocks really is one event that can claim to get bigger and better each year.

When Ibiza Rocks launched three years ago, many doubted the appeal of bringing raw indie talent to an island dominated by dance music. Today, Ibiza Rocks has established itself as one of the must see musical events of the summer.

The summer line-up speaks for itself and resembles the best of UK talent. Appearing over the season at Bar M will be the likes of The View, who kick things off at the Ibiza Rocks opening party on 19 June, LCD Soundsystem (18 July), The Enemy (31 July) and Mika (7 August).

Kasabian – returning to Ibiza after an electric debut last summer – are set to blow it all up again this year, not once but twice as they appear on 16 & 17 July consecutively.

Glasgow’s finest, The Fratellis – fresh from being voted ‘Best British Breakthrough Act’ by Radio 1 listeners – also return for two hot dates on 3 & 4 September.

But the hottest band of the moment will be making what promises to be a scorching gig on 1 September, when the Arctic Monkeys bring their indisputable style to the shores of Ibiza.

With some dates still to be confirmed, expect some more big names being announced.

The intimacy of Bar M, situated along the promenade in San Antonio, has proved to be the perfect venue for Ibiza Rocks since making the lively sea facing bar it’s home.
