Review: Ibiza Live at Eden, 19th June 2012

Tinie Tempah, the UK's biggest urban artist returns to Eden...

When Tinie Tempah came to Eden last year, the club completely sold out. We weren't expecting anything different this year, so we had to pop down and check it out!

We arrived at Eden around 3am and the venue was perfectly busy. Enough space to dance and enjoy yourself, but plenty of people to have a great atmosphere. Ibiza Live 2012 comes with a slick production, full stage visuals and décor. The venue looks very inviting and they've done well to create more of a 'concert feel' within Eden. The music is curated by Capital FM's Friday night DJ Andi Durrant and Ibiza favourite Scott Page. As soon as we walked in the music was very accessible, with plenty of chart and commercial remixes to keep all the crowd dancing while waiting for the main act Tinie Tempah due on at 4am.

He earlier had tweeted via his official account “IBIZA! I'm only here for 1 night... So I'm going the f**k INNNNN Yo! Club Eden, @Myibizalive LET'S GO!!!” so we were expecting an energetic show from the UK's biggest Urban act!

At 4.15am, Patrick Junior Chukwuemeka Okogwu a.k.a Tinie Tempah, launches on to the bottom stage and it's as if he's lit a fuse under the crowd and it's just gone off! Performing his number one single “Pass Out”, as well as “Frisky” and all of his other chart hits, the club was lapping it all up. We've heard many people say Tinie Tempah is great live and we were not disappointed. He brought amazing energy to the club and is an all round stand out performer, frequently shaking hands and high fiving his fans. After he and his DJ Charlesy finished up their final song, there was a huge round of applause from front to back!

Tinie Tempah again leaves his mark on Ibiza and we can most definitely see him becoming an island regular over the next few years!
