Sankeys opening party line-ups announced

Star Wars theme Ibiza opening parties!? Yes! See you there.

'Sankeys Awakens' - already showing signs of one of our favourite promotional artwork campaigns with their cute 'ickle Star Wars cartoons (look how wasted Yoda is by the way) - is a very appropriate name as we all get back into the swing of things after a much needed winter hibernation period.

One of the first parties you'll attend for the season will be Sankeys' already infamous opening parties, split into two days and many, many hours of dancefloor tomfoolery and mischief making.

Sankeys has cemented its reputation on the island as a champion of the underground, if by definition of underground you mean a cool, relatively small, dimly lit warehouse style club space, with its strong focus on keeping the venue stripped back and the parties ignoring the glitzy production side of things like dancers and too many ice canon shots in the face.

The club is going into its 5th year in 2015 and as you can read in our feature interview with David Vincent, they have many plans in store for what they are sure will be their biggest year to date.

Sankeys opening party Part 1
Wednesday 20th May

Diving right in there with a monster line-up for their first opening party, Sankeys have roped in dynamic duo in music and love Ida Engberg and Adam Beyer, fresh from a break last year through having a baby. Nawww, cute!

Darius Syrossian heads up the strong Sankeys family contingent as he champions his Tribal Sessions sound, with the hugely popular Sidney Charles and Santé accounting for ze Germans.

Noir Music bossman - Noir - will be in attendance also, with island favourite Manu Gonzalez bringing up the rear. More artists yet to be announced; more as we have it.

Sankeys opening party Part 2
Thursday 21st May

The second date for the club's opening period features more in-house heroes from seasons gone by.

Two peak-time headline artists top the bill in Duke Dumont, charged with helping take house to the mainstream, and Steve Lawler, the VIVa Warriors chief dancefloor war monger and Ibiza legend.

G-House gets its big bass booty booty in the picture in the form of Amine Edge & Dance, fresh from their 2014 Sankeys residency, whilst Sankeys favourites Greg Vickers, Jozef K, Matt Jam Lamont and Sam Holt (UK Garage ahoy!) get in the ground work.

Brining up the rear on the line-up is another island favourite in Andy Baxter and Mental Genius frontman Dave Lubin.

And let's be clear, when owner David Vincent threatens to 'get my lightsaber out for the occasion' you know it's going to be a proper party.

Tickets for both parties are on sale now.
